The Victorian Government has developed a Compact which complements Towards Victoria as a Learning Community. The Compact can be used by school councils as a discussion tool in further exploring and developing policies, plans and partnerships - the '3Ps' - which may support students' personalised learning and development.
As well, the Government is conducting a school governance review. VICCSO is a member of the School Governance Review Reference Group. VICCSO will also co-host a school governance forum involving principals, parents, teachers and students, and prepare a school improvement and school governance discussion paper.
Your school council is invited to renew its VICCSO membership for the next twelve months or, if your school was not affiliated to VICCSO last year, to join in order to experience the full benefits of membership. VICCSO is an independent organisation of affiliated school councils developing strong school-family-community partnerships and great governance as important ways to help achieve the best possible learning outcomes for all students.
